Democratic citizenship education: Towards a model for establishing democratic mathematics teacher education

چکیده
This article provides an explication of the concepts democracy and democratic citizenship from a political dimension, it also offers insight into nature in post-apartheid South Africa. The further outlines relationship between mathematics democracy, as well number pedagogical approaches which are capable fostering principles education classrooms. Finally, proposes model encompasses trilogy principles; humanising pedagogy; social, cultural, economic issues can be employed preparing student teachers to become fully citizens.
